SC dominates Clemson in softball tonight

The difference between the two teams is apparent. Half Clemson’s starting lineup is freshmen while SC has an older very experienced team. SC team is full of experienced transfers while Clemson relies on a lot of youth. In the long run for Clemson that youth will get better & be solid, but right now it’s a hard task matching SC seasoned players. However, was hoping for a better effort tonight.

Well that makes me feel a whole lot better for future at least.Hopefully our young ladies will do a whole better though on Tuesday April 15th at McWhorter Stadium.

If I could only forget the name on their jersey, I’d try to see this as an opportunity for the Tigers to improve. However, it sucks losing to the Gamecocks in anything. Still losing to #10 on the road and not have it turned into a 5 inning run rule is progress. Doesn’t hurt the team SOS and RPI won’t drop a ton. This is why sweeping teams like Cuse is a big deal for this young team. Got to get ACC wins and keep a regional bid in reach. That was Bassinger’s 3rd start since Friday. I think it showed. The Tigers really needed a third experienced pitcher to help with the mid-week. Rittnan definitely needs to work the portal hard this offseason for revised pitching.

Not sure why he didn't pitch Cintron against cuse, or Ducan for that matter. He'd rather wear out the only decent pitcher we have. Just like he ran Val into the ground last year.

He's had 2 years to recruit a pitcher. Either portal or freshman. Thank goodness we hired crash. She's already made a difference with our hitting. She's really worked with Alex, and obviously worked with Moore too. Niether hit well last year. She was good at Texas A&M, as well as the coots.

Not sure why the coots didn't promote her to head coach. Hopefully that's our plan. Anyway, the coots got them a good coach and NO, she didn't just go out and portal potty. You always have transfers with new coaching so she brought a few girls from Charlotte with her.

Even so, I doubt they'll stay in the top 10. Once they go through the conference, you'll probably see them and Georgia drop off... but I don't know their schedules. But the coots new coach has been playing a lot of freshman.
