SC BBQ rec: Fork Grove BBQ in Anderson

As mentioned on GMHWYW, Saturday's post-victory dinner was at Fork Grove BBQ. It is a little out of the way for me but I highly recommend it.

It bills itself as Texas style BBQ. The brisket was very good (though a bit heavy on the pepper) and the homemade sausage was fantastic. The sides were clearly homemade and the peanut butter pie was excellent.

The prices were comparable to Smokin Pig but I actually enjoyed the food at Fork Grove more.

The building is no-frills but the staff was friendly. I will certainly go back and wanted to shout out a good local restaurant.

Ohhhh, ok...yeah, used to be Saddler's Creek bbq.

I went there once under the old name/management/whatever. That woulda been 2013. Dang.

It’s pretty good. Has changed names a few times in the last few years. Had a large gathering catered by them once a few years back and they did a decent job setting up and breaking down, no complaints from the crowd.
