Remember to thank CTB

Yeh, that's right.
It was Tommy that really pushed for improving the facilities, he started really pursuing the high character recruits and helped build a strong spiritual virtue in our athletes, he hired Dabo and brought him into the program because of some special belief he had in this young coach and his abililities.
CTB gave us a decent record and some historic milestones, but the best he did was laying a solid foundation for Clemson University football.
I like Tommy Bowden. I believe he is a good man. And I believe he worked hard to improve Clemson.
THANK YOU COACH TOMMY BOWDEN!!!

maybe you would be more comfortable pulling for the dawgs. When we have a winning season next year and hopefully compete for the ACC don't try to get back on the bandwagon. Short sided and stupid.
Not saying a like losing, but I can bet that had Tommy not woke up the admin about facilities and it's importance to recruiting and building a program we would be complaining about more than one 6-7 season. We would be complaining about why WF and Duke are better than we are.

Did you read the post. What part did you not comprehend? He was thanking TB for getting the ball rolling for new facilities. Has nothing to do with last seasons 6-7 record.

Tommy Bowden was tolerated but never accepted at Clemson who was still in love with the personality and likeability of Danny Ford. Les Miles now has the monkey on his bck at LSU. They tolerate him but don't like him. Surprised he did not look at Michigan harder. Tommy is a good man. brought quality players on and off the field to Clemson. Got facilities to compete and recruiting results showed immediately. Asking for the next $50 million was not even a battle it was a done deal not if just when thanks to the perseverance of tommy. unfortunately the elusive 10th win and no ACC championship were too much to bear after a decade. He won enough just lost the wrong games except south carolina thank you again TB. Your a good man Tommy B. Thanks for your contribution to clemson football

does it better for longer, he's the best of the last 20 years. Running a clean program, doing things with high character, winning games/seasons and going to bowls isn't easy. These next two years will make or break Dabo at Clemson. Much like Bowden, he's doing MANY things right but the results on the field will matter the most.

TB was good at everything except C!. He was hired to COACH and he screwed up far, far to many times and wasted a lot of talent.

He definitely accomplished some things that needed to be tended to. I hate he never got an ACC title to show for it, but we were better off in 2008 than we were in 1999.

I appreciate TB but it was time for him to move on. Just can't believe we hired someone to take us backwards instead of forwards.

...thank Tommy for preparing Clemson to be competitive in the future instead of wallowing in the past, as so many posters on here seem inclined to do.

Tommy Bowden never won anything

What's the GD infatuation with the guy?! Great, he helped build facilities. That's an AD's job. I'd rather he spent his time coaching championship teams.
Clemson accepted Tommy just fine. Tommy didn't accept Clemson.
Get over it-- the guy is gone. Quit effing thanking him when we gave him how many millions for ZERO titles?

when tommy donates a chunk of that 4 million bck towards the indoor facility, then he can get ring of honor for all I care. Unti; then, he was payed the most money per win than any HC at clemson, ever..

meanwhile the best coach we ever had, who got fired after winning ACC titles and a national championship still lives nearby and wathces our games.

talk of actually him coaching at USC This was just talk among some power brokers, but I cannot see DF ever thinking about coaching USC. This said, he does cheer for USC when not playing CU. I found that interesting. He cheers for the state teams.

You know, I had a bad year in 2007, 2008, 2009 and in 2010. I guess I should just quit according to some on here. Not every year is going to turn out like you want it to. You make the best with what you have. Go back to the Auburn play when Parker got hurt. Clemson was not the same team after that hit! We win that big game with Parker still healthy and we could have been where Auburn is today. It is a fine line in winning some games. We are on the right track to winning,it is just a matter of time. Go Tigers!
