Pretty interesting stats on CFB TV viewership

So came across this on Twitter/X on TV viewership among the ACC, B12, & Washington State/Oregon State. 2016-2023 regular season games (minus the 2020 COVID year) of games picked up by major networks (ABC, CBS, Fox, & main ESPN - most likely excludes ESPN+, ACCN, SECN) among games not involve FSU, Notre Dame, or the new look B10 & SEC.

Clemson leads in both number of major network games (41) & average viewership (2.98M) among that group. Next closest in average viewership was Colorado (2.78M, which most likely skewed by Deion becoming HC b/c only had 14 network games in that span) & next closest in major network games was Oklahoma State (25). Louisville (2.39M) & Miami (21 major network games) were 2nd best in those categories among ACC schools. My interpretation of those stats...Clemson definitely has drawing power beyond games involving SEC, B10, ND, & FSU...and don't think for a second the SEC & B10 aren't aware of that, especially should they be looking to add more.
Interesting tidbits w/ the Pac-12 teams left behind (Wazzu & Oregon St). Wazzu had more major network appearances than 11 of the ACC/B12 schools & equal w/ 4 more, while having better average viewership than 10 of the schools. Oregon State, while only topping 3 other schools in major network appearances, topped 11 of the schools in average viewership.

CBS Cover 3 podcast says it frequently, the ACC has the only 4 schools left that take football seriously and have the financial backing to be successful (FSU, Clemson, UNC, Miami). The Big12 understands where they rank after the TX/OU exit and is hoping to keep a larger cut than the G5 schools. The ACC GOR is the only thing keeping this from becoming the Super 2.

How do we stack up against FSU and why are they on the excluded list?

Could really ask the same about ND, but we all know that they are exceptionally (and irrationally)high on both lists. Maybe because of their exclusivity deal?

Guess he left off ND as they're typically gonna draw eyeballs

Plus they're gonna be a crown jewel in further expansion talks
Why he excluded FSU, no telling. Perhaps b/c the ongoing court wrangling & their public desire to leave ACC (something Clemson hasn't publicly revealed...believe they're keeping cards close to vest to see how the FSU/ACC court case plays out).
That Clemson draws that well in games & had so many network pickups of games not against SEC or FSU/ND is very encouraging IMO. Speaks to the drawing power of the program & brand has been able to build up over years that even in games that aren't gonna be considered a marquee matchup, that there's an appetite to see Clemson football.

Wait a minute.
Doesn't that data seems to fly in is the face of the TNET experts who believe the Vanderbilt's, Virginia's, and South Carolina's of the world are preferable to the Power-2 over Clemson? That crowd really needs to pay attention. They're loud, just not smart.
That graph is for anyone who still think the Power-2 is concerned with geography, or any other outlier that doesn't matter. This includes anyone who still thinks the SEC wont add us because of SC. 😂
Clemson isn't getting left behind, and we ARE leaving the ACC. Eventually, and no amount of $ will stop Clemson from leaving. And no, we're not joining a non Power-2 conference like the BIG XII.
PWR-2 expansion is about branding, which equates to eyeballs, which equals revenue. We have it in spades.
STUDY the graph.
