For those who were about to jump over a cliff worrying about our D line this year.
Linebackers and DBs higher rated as well. We have a national championship caliber defense this year. Sleep well my friends.

Where does he have the coot O-Line and D-line? The O-Line is going to be Conference USA caliber and outside of 2 decent DT's, the D-line as a whole will be worse than last years. And that defense was 117th against the run, 121st in tackles for loss, and tied for 110th in sacks.

the DLine last year, too. It, for the most part, did not happen. So, this year, I'm more from the "show me" school of thought. I reserve praise until I see something on the field worthy of that praise. No doubt, the POTENTIAL is there. But, it was there last year, too.

5 of the back 7 and it played out that way.
Clemson finished 4th in sacks, 2nd in TFL, but failing in the simple things like press-bail created issues. Fix those basics/busts and Wes doesn't have to drop a safety into 2 high et al.

When one of those D Linemen (a 1st round draft pick) misses about half the season due illness and personal family tragedy, it does affect performance. He never had a chance to get into a rhythm. Hopefully this year, the ones starting the season play every week.

Phil rated our D-Line #1 in his preview last year, but we were nowhere near that good. I love his preview magazine for the information, but not necessarily for the predictions.

A very fair assessment imo. 👍
Prove it on the field.

Not a chance. X Thomas can only play so much. He’s never been in great condition anyways. We literally have no defensive ends
