The Visit Knoxville Collegiate being played @ Tennessee National in Loudon, TN is just beginning.
Our TIGERS will Tee It Up @ 10:40am EDT.
The TIGERS Representing us are in the attachment . . . Will Baker is a Freshman playing in his 1sr Tournament as a TIGER!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Just amped up. Maybe a little like Cade. He's been posting how excited he was to get a chance. We all know he's been playing tough courses all summer. Hopefully a good back 9 and realize it's just golf.
Being really honest, I think if the team can finish top 5, I'd be happy. You know me, not happy we're the only team without at least one birdie on the par 5.

we are struggling . . . Last season, the same guys knew how to make birdies . . . often!!! Today??? . . . We can’t hardly buy one. Other than Will’s early double . . . we have, at least, avoided the “big numbers” . . . We’ll see if we settle down and play better as the Tournament progresses.

Andrew did play well. We're in the hunt with two more boys playing like he did.
Tons of blue and black on other teams. To only have one is fantastic. Will had an excellent back 9. 2nd only to Andrew. It was by far the harder 9. Good to see. Hopefully he'll make birdies tomorrow.
I know you've already seen that we're in dead last on birdies made. Besides Nebraska, it's by a mile. We gave away strokes to the field on both par 5's. At least 4 strokes. Same with the easy par 4 on front 9. Definitely some encouragement there.

Well, I know you're traveling and hopefully once you get the chance to peak at golf, you'll be surprised. Who knows what will happen the rest of the day but early on, Will has our 2 lone birdies. He did bogey but thru 6 ,he's -1...
Keep it going Will. We have to count on you because Thomas Higgins is off to a rough start at +4 thru 6.

Disaster struck on our top 3 golfers. Went from -5 on the day to +4. Triple, 2 double bogeys. Brutal. You're not going to believe it when you finally get a chance to review.
Will was actually our bright spot.
