Normally I've defended Brownell, but I won't tonight

Not fouling at the end of regulation there was just inexcusable and unexplainable. You just can't make a mistake like that. That is an absolutely brutal loss, even worse at home. The other losses have all been "good" (quad 1) so far, but this one's likely gonna be a quad 3. This is a bad loss, just no way to get around it. I really hope this isn't going to doom the season. Either way, that's just an incredibly demoralizing loss, absolutely crushing. This is by far the worst I've felt all season.

If we had a point guard that could hit free throws it would’ve been over in regulation. You go up 4, ball game. Players need to be accountable as well.

I agree and Hunter is shaky from the line as it is. GIRARD SHOULD HAVE THE BALL.

You’re seriously blaming free throw shooting when we were out scored by at least 40 points by three pointers. I guess defense plays no part in the outcome of games.

It doesnt doom the season by any means, but it better be a wake up call.

We can’t keep playing good defense sporadically and expect to win in the ACC.
Girard needs to find a way to stop disappearing in certain games, or we need to help him more.
We also need another guy who can reliably score besides PJ and (sometimes) Girard. My vote is for Wiggins, or perhaps Schieffelin. Chase Hunter needs to be that guy but I have decided that he isn’t able.

There will be no easy ACC games for us if our defense doesnt improve.***

I have to agree judge. Ive been to quite a few games this year and it’s evident Chase is not the same shooter from 10 feet or more out. Something has changed. May it be form or what not. Thankful he can slash and drive, but it was clear Gtech knew the hunter brothers were not a threat from outside. They were giving them cushion all night begging them to shoot. If I’m Brad I’m trying to work on shooting with those guys. As well as on the ball defense. Credit Gtech for taking advantage of our poor mistakes, but we have seen this club play better and the standard is not losing to a 8-8 team .

Yeah, it really bums me out seeing what's happened with Chase. I really like him and his game, and it's a shame that he hasn't been able to shoot nearly as well this year. His overall play has also been much less confident and quite inconsistent. I still hold out hope that he can break out at some point this season, but in the mean time, the team needs to find other answers.

... at end of regulation either. At best GT goes up by 2 but tigers get ball w time to run clock to expiration for final shot. We still may have missed final shot and lost but we would have been in control of the ball at least.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Clemson up by 3? The whole point is that even if GT had hit both free-throws, Clemson would still be up a point with possession of the ball and just a few seconds left. Heck, even worst-case scenario if Tech had made the first free-throw, missed the second, gotten the rebound and made a layup, the game would still only be tied, which is the same outcome that ended up happening with the made three-pointer. I guess technically if you really want to stretch it you could argue that GT could've gotten the rebound off of a missed second free-throw and then hit a three-point shot to go up a point and almost certainly win the game, but let's be real, the odds of that happening would've been extremely low. But see, the whole point of this is that unless I'm mistaken, the odds work much better in your favor if you foul in that situation, which is the reason I thought they should've done it.
