Well, mjc has me ignored with 30 others but I like almost all his posts. I don't think all of this is coach speak. His film kinda speaks for itself. Late bloomer, overlooked, whatever it was, I'm glad we finally got him here.

Maybe but no way to know for sure until it happens. For example, remember Frank Ladson or EJ Williams? Both were considered cant miss prospects. Not saying Noble will hit or miss but its hard to tell before he has even played a snap. The other point is some guys take longer to acclimate to the college game as some dont bloom until a year or two or four in the program.

We'll see, heard the same for Randall last year...I expect him to be the one to have a breakout year with Ngata gone. I just want everyone to come out of the Spring healthy.

I’m not sure about a true freshman coming in and lighting their world on fire but it could happen.
More plausible is that the guys already on the squad begin to realize their full potential thanks to a new QB and a better offensive scheme.
We’ve got some fine but largely unrealized potential at WR and TE just waiting to bust out.

We’ve had a ton of uber talented receivers come thru the past 15 years. However, only one arrived ready built to dominate a game. Unlikely we see the likes of Sammy again for a long time. If Johnson just shows flashes of his talent that’ll be very welcome.

Never said he was going to be Sammy, I said he is going to be a impact player. Making impacts on games doesn’t mean superstar from day one ?♂️?♂️

I hope Noble Johnson is a game changer as a freshman because we definitely need one playing the outside WR position!
The bar Sammy set his Freshman year has never and probably never will be replicated! Even Tee took most of his Freshman season to get adjusted. Sammy was just different. Hate he has continuously battled injuries in the NFL after a great rookie season. He had Hall of Fame potential but just has lost that extra burst that made him truly elite and different then almost every other receiver in the NFL
