No separation at QB for the cawks

According to a friend, who knows some coaches, there is no separation between Orth and McIlwain. Begs the question: why can't a senior create separation from a freshman? And if the freshman is "the next DW" then why can't he separate from a senior who has yet to prove himself? They are in for a long season.

Sounds like a real battle between a midget and a bagboy from Publix. Yawn.

McIlwain probably should have gone pro in baseball and taken the signing bonus. He is too short to make it in the NFL and after an inauspicious season with Coot baseball, I imagine his stock with MLB has declined significantly.
Admire his willingness to pass up guaranteed money for the college experience and education. Granted, it's a Scar education so this wasn't a great decision for the young man.

letting Mcllwain getting the crap beat our of him this year so his son can take over next year as Red Shirt Fresh.
Bentley beat system by holding him back in school and then changes gears and lets him graduate early. This guy will do what ever it takes to help his kids and does not think about how it affects others.(coaches and players)

Attempt to keep up with them, but I was told by someone who works for the team that QB, RB, WR, DL, and safety play were all below average. All others are average at best. He is usually pretty straightforward and realistic. I almost felt sorry for him as we were talking.

To be fair...To start the season a few years ago, according to the coaches DW4 didn't separate from Stoudt who was a senior that hadn't proved anything.
Bentley is the wild card in cola. He's likely the best true QB down there. McIlwain will have a hard time beating him out IMO.

with a broken collar bone ? USuC's Freshman QB can't do it in practice, DW4 was still playing catch up because of injury.

And playing that level of baseball will make it hard to transition. I played both sports in college my freshman year and it's a hard transfer.
