Very pleased with his recruiting success. Caldwell should have been asked to retire 3 years earlier. It it is very exciting to not have to offer borderline D1 O-Lineman days before signing day because we whiffed on all our targets.

because Sullivan Absher and Sam Pendleton verbally committed to Notre Dame.
Those two guys are looking like smaller and smaller fish as the recruiting process heats up.
Monroe Freeling needs to take notice and get on board with what Thomas Austin is doing at Clemson.

It should have been painfully obvious to even the most hardcore orange kool-aid drinkers among us that Caldwell wasn't getting it done when Mitch Hyatt went undrafted. It was common knowledge that Mitch made basically ZERO progress while at Clemson as a Left Tackle. But God help anyone who posted anything like that on T-net. LOL.

Thomas is absolutely KILLING it if we land Reed/Sewell/Owens bringing some life back to the OL room which I think will be drastically improved this year

... but I've driven through there a couple of times on cross country trips.
I'll just say, for me, that would be a tough place to live.
