for good shelling/shark teeth beaches to take the jon boat to.

Well I mistakenly made this comment to wife of last night.

So now for memorial day weekend, we are putting in somewhere on the south side of Charleston harbor, puttering around the different rivers/islands looking for shells, and mother ####### wild camping somewhere.

So what I need is

1. where to put the boat in

and 2. Where is a good place to set up a 12 person tent where I won't get killed by gators and/or meth heads

Just follow the 4.826 million other people who will be doing the same thing

Don’t worry about where to camp, it will be Wednesday before you get your boat in the water

You're gonna need a permit to camp on any of the public places

Like bulls, end of folly, etc. And someone is out there every day at sun up looking for that kinda stuff. There needs to be a storm or pretty good wave action to rattle anything new loose to be found on the coast.

You'd do better looking in some of the lesser known fresh or brackish water areas; maybe like up the edisto near Branchville/Bamberg.

Edit: But I'm all for watching you try and put in at Wappoo Cut landing,

fight the current that's faster than your jon boat will go, and the other 8000 drunks putting in, then hear about you inevitably getting lost, or stuck on low tide up the Stono River.

We have a pool and a pond.

From the mouth of the N Edisto you can head north up towards Seabrook or South towards Botany Bay, Edingsvillle Beach, EB state park, etc. pretty sure there’s still a massive sandbar at the mouth of the N Edisto these days too

Did you know that Atherton is the richest ZIP code in the U.S.? The average selling price for a home there is $8.2 million.

That's got to be the last place I'd ever expect to see a methed up gator.
