Is it just me or are the defenses ten times better than they have been in previous years. Even playing on Freshmen level, they're still not as bad as they had been in the past.

...with the defenses is that it seems they will swat down ANY crossing pattern. From out of nowhere a LB will jump 15 feet in the air and bat a pass down.

That and they read screens much better than before, but that is closer to accurate.

on the Showdown. If you were up big early, you couldn't do anything but run last year.

I play on AA, and you really have to read the package and coverage before the play. After the snap you have to read any blitz immediately. I've worked in practice mode a lot with the defense running random plays.

The thing that irritates me, and I'll give you a scenario, twins left, outside receiver runs an out, inside receiver runs and in. One DB in coverage and somehow he can blanket both of them. But if you don't loft or bullet the ball just right your in trouble. That and Tajh just isn't that good in this game.
