I keep reading "Cade is more mobile ... and Cade is more accurate." But DJ played hurt last year and rated 14th in the ACC and 95th in the country in QB rankings so he should be given the job. I do not understand that logic.

Link to an article or post which states he should be given the job based on playing hurt last year? I ask for the link as i dont think it exists.

i would wager it would be the talk of the camp reports on tigernet ..but every time dj is mentioned its all about how he was dedicated to losing weight and moves better...there is zilch about him being better int he accuracy department..also he was bad before he hurt his knee and finger.

ok hurt but not that impaired he couldn't play. what got me is he could make some great throws on more difficult stuff but then miss on some on the easiest ones by a mile

Moving better and more mobile are also relevant terms. Compared to last year....not sure any QB could have been less mobile. Even early season prior to compounding his injury, he had cement legs. So, faster and more mobile than last year? OK. Fast and mobile enough to be the starting QB of a national championship caliber team? We shall see. And, if so, he still needs to throw accurately and make quicker reads. Would love to see all three happen!

With the offensive line Clemson's had you need to be able to run for your life.

need to be able to hit accurate passes consistently as well..dj issue was he would come out smoking hot the first couple of drives then poof its like his accuracy just disappeared after

We made it all the way to the playoffs on Kelly Bryant’s legs. I guess you forgot about that. This is actually great news!

Exactly. He may not be able to pass but he should be able to run better this year.

going from a snail's pace to a lava flow pace is a substantial improvement; however, it's still slower than Heinz ketchup.

Hoping he can run like he stold it this season.
