, thanks for the note. I don’t reveal sources but rest assured I have very good ones on this issue and have plenty of info to back mu opinions. I have no problems with Clemson head coaches. I’ve worked with each of them from Danny Ford till now. But things do come up that they need to be called out on. did call Tommy a hypocrite because as someone who espouses his religious beliefs as he did at Clemson, he had nothing to say when asked how CJ Spiller fathering a child out of wedlock might conflict with that. That’s hypocrisy in my view. As for this case, I have a problem with a political move costing a qualified man his position, and this move was done at the behest of the head coach, or at the least with his recommendation. I know this to be fact. You can believe me or not, that’s your choice, but I don’t take this topic lightly.

Kornbutt is just a fat, ugly man that cannot hold down a real job. No need to ask him anything about Clemson. He is so biased it's unbelievable. Yes, he should be banned from Clemson because he does everything he can to paint negative stories. Not a classy individual at all.

I'm in Florence, so for a long time that radio show has been the only game in town. Early on Phil seemed to make an honest effort to not show his bias but as time went on and Clemson kept beating his beloved coots I could sense some bitterness growing. Then it seemed to get worse once Bowden got here, and in my opinion Phil really really began to double down on Clemson because he was beating the coots regularly and he wore his Christianity on his sleeve. As for calling out Spiller, he looks like the hypocrite, because had Bowden called him out, then I'm sure Phil would have said he was judging him or not being tolerant.
I would be ok with that if he would apply the same standards to the coots or at least not be so defensive when someone calls him on it. And as for the the play by play issue, he makes a big deal out of Clemson hiring a guy with little football play by play experience, then ignores the guy in his own backyard that was hired to do the play by play with no experience.

The AD wanted to keep Pete in the basketball job- but not the football job.
Obviously the AD didn't have a real problem with Pete because a school like Clemson doesn't keep someone in such a role as the basketball PBP job if they don't like someone. A school like Clemson can easily go nationwide to get a quality PBP guy for basketball or football- or any other position.
So obviously someone in the football office had a provlem with Pete on some level - and preferred someone like Don Munson - a guy who hasn't done PBP in football for about 20 years- and when he did- he was doing it for App State.

What the heck? Who asked CTB to comment on CJ having a child out of wedlock? Where the heck do these people get the nerve to think it's their business to ask a coach to condemn one of his players on religious grounds, or be labeled a hypocrite? That is unbelievable.
Kornblut is the worst. That's why I didn't comment before...because we all understand what he's trying to do. But that comment was ridiculous.

I heard the broadcast conversation in which he called former Clemson HC Tommy Bowden a "liar" (not a "hypocrite")--and that was his exact word--during a rant about Coach Bowden insisting the state HS football championships be held in Death Valley ONE FREAKIN' TIME instead of perennially in Williams-Brice.
Bowden had made a comment to the effect that playing in W-B every year was giving usuck an additional recruiting visit to many of the state's top players. And it is. Gamecock club member and chickenlina alumnus Kornblut, afraid the chickens might lose that additional edge, crossed the line with that comment.

First of all being a Christian doesn't mean that you never do anything wrong. People act like Christians are this perfect recreation of Christ himself. You sad souls have a lot to learn about what a true Christian is. Christians get judged more than any group or race out there. Some people need to take a long look at themselves and quit worrying about what the Christians are doing.
