Nothing like it. Been a few times and was there for the whole Derby week when I was a student at U of L. Got to see everything up close. Jockeys mounting horses, the paddock area, 8 races per day, could have been 10. Betting windows easy to get to. Great seats. But Derby Day is like no event I have ever attended.

The horses are absolutely beautiful.

I love the Kentucky Derby, but if you want to see the most dominant race ever, go to Youtube and search for Secretariat, 1973 Belmont Stakes. Amazing!

Secretariat is one of the best horses ever and one of the best horse movies.
