Just witnessed perhaps the dumbest traffic phenomenon I’ve

ever seen, and I’ve seen a LOT of them. Taking the kids to school, pouring rain, understood that traffic is gonna be effed. There are a handful of entrances to the 3 schools all in a row, but for the sake of simplicity, let’s focus on the middle and the typical route parents use to drop off. 2 lane street, I turn left into school, another left where ~10 cars at a time drop off, a third left, and you’re back at the 2-lane road. With me so far?
Actually surprised this hasn’t happened before, but about half the cars leaving after drop off are turning left onto said 2 lane street, which puts them back in the line of cars that are trying to turn left to get INTO the school. When it gets backed up all the way to the exit, cars exiting can’t pull out. So there were 100+ cars stuck in a giant circle of bumper-to-bumper stupidity. Can’t turn left into the school, can’t turn left out of it.
Unreal. Happy Monday, fuckers.

drop the kids off at a mill or mine for work instead of school. There's no line of parents waiting to drop the kids off AND the kids bring home a paycheck each week that you can use to supplement the household income and pay for those little extras your family might want...like shoes or eggs.

intersection. It went from one high speed accident every few months to multiple weekly low speed accidents.
People weren't getting badly injured but there were bump-ups almost daily.

Real Americans make their kids walk uphill to school in rain and snow to build character and learn how to recognize local drug dealers and pimps.
Now truth be told, gotta pick up grandkids at 2;30 and the spoiled rascals will probably convince me to stop for a snack at local fast food or convenience store.
And local LE should be directing traffic at schools at dismissal times.

Dumbest Traffic Phenomenon? Actual 4-car traffic jam, Central, SC, circa 1990. Yellow and Red (me) both want to turn left. Blue! Blue! Back the F UP!!!!
