class coming in, and noticed we have a good pitcher commit named Anthony Wilkie. Any relation to former Tiger Kyle Wilkie?

We got a stud next season with Samol too. Knaak takes another step, along with Darden, LeGuernic, and McGovern going to rock. I know that wasn't your question but.

You have been high on Samol since the season began. What is his story? Did you see him pitch at some point? Just curious because I want to be excited too.

Samol is from Ohio and his season was shut down during Covid. He really didn’t get to pitch until his senior season in HS. Raw talent that only pitched 2-3 innings as a freshman in 2023 at GT. He’s a 6-8 lefty with a 95-97 mph fastball and an elite slider. He probably has one of the highest ceilings as anyone on our staff.

Pitching may be great next season. We will have to fill some holes in the lineup. Some transfers who have played great will be gone. Obertop will be replaced by Jarrell. Mathes, Hinderleider, Ciufo all gone. Wright is gone. I read on here Taylor is prepping for the draft. Cannarella, Bissetta, and Crighton will be ok. Just need to replace almost the whole infield.

Ciufo has a year of eligibility left I believe, so there's probably a chance he returns.
Bakich has to go all in on retaining these guys now too because you know LSU, Tennessee, and the like will be sniffing around Cannarella and Knaak and some others.

Just from looking and doing a bit of research, It doesn't look like many of our commits are high on draft boards, which is good for us.
