Has anyone of you dummies that gripe about pitching looked at the pitching coaches record? Been here for 2 seasons and he is gonna make heroes overnight. Look what he did with Caden in one year?
Balenger has a great record with Maryland, Kentucky, FSU and now Clemson. I think this dude is legit we just need a little better talent. We get a few Knaack's and we are CWS all day. This team hits well, plays well, needs fewer errors and 2more great ptchers and we are on top. Those complaining about pitching needs to look at who Monte brought in.

I hope you are correct but you’re pointing to one pitchers improvement while I can point to 6 pitchers who haven’t improved at all. I get it . The talent isn’t there yet…. However it doesn’t excuse numerous pitchers being better last year than they are this year or the same. No matter what coach is working with we should see some improvement from anybody. Just give me one. It seemed like he had Tristan smith developed until his injury. Now he can’t command anything. I’ll end with this…. Name one pitcher that’s better than they were last year

I agree , I haven’t seen many complain about Bellanger that know baseball … maybe question him in the development but I agree 100%, unfortunately I just don’t think he has a ton to work with in the room. There are a handful of guys that are young that show promise but we could def use a handful out of the portal too this rotation and pen until he gets his guys in and developed. I def don’t think Bellanger is the issue I’m glad we have him.

Yeah, I know I sound like a broken record but we lost Samol and tallent b4 the season started. I've seen Samol and he was knaak ready, top 50 talent in the country. Darden and Smith were going to be our mid-week and relief pitching.
I really think people were expecting too much out of Smith. He played in a lot of games last year and he flashed... much like McGovern has this year, but he was mostly pitching 1 inning all last season. Rarely did he get through the lineup once.
Ciufo and Taylor hurt. Bisetta would have been good dh but his fielding is just OK. It stings because we were all hoping after last year we'd take a big jump. But we're young. Last season we had veterans... and I think this team is better. The one thing that's concerning is why we couldn't bring in a curd type pitching transfer instead of from the pcs Wofford etc. It was probably money for scholly. Hopefully we get that resolved with nil.

More than once I have heard Bakich say that Knaack didnt have speed in HS but had good control. This is why he wasn't a higher recruit. Belanger helped get his speed up and he is All-ACC as freshman.
I think Rocco is showing good promise with another year. Belanger is working with players recruited by Lee, a couple freshman and couple transfers. Give JB another year and I think he makes big improvements in the pitchers. No doubt we have seen struggles with the Pen especially but JB's resume is great and everyone should see that Bakich has exceeded expectations already.

Regarding Tristan smith I had major concerns coming into the year becaus in the offseason he got bombed in all the scrimmages. However coach bakich reiterated Tristan was better. Said he was much improved and ready to be that guy. He had a good first month. Looked promising. Post injury it’s been a mess. It has to be mental with him. If he threw strikes he would be good
