Kids did some tubing, found some shark's teeth, and I just got to ride and not drive.

We went to the lake for the day, daughter’s birthday party w her friends. Swam, tubed, pizza, then chicken piccata, then cake. Back home now so it was a good day.

It’s awesome just before sunrise as well. My cousin is a successful tournament fisherman. He takes me bass fishing on occasion so I can splash water and watch him catch fish. Anyway, there’s nothing like zipping across the calm lake at barely first light.

I used to fish a lot at night and enjoyed cruising slowly at night. Sunrise and sunset in nature as well is a special time and so many people have no idea how cool it is to watch the world come awake.

Having said that, if you're boating when it's dark or dawn or dusk, keep your head on a swivel as there are a lot of idiots who know nothing about the rules of boating and combine that with alcohol and you have a potentially deadly situation.

I'm being a Debbie downer. Glad you and the kids had an awesome day!! Everybody be safe this summer out on the water though.

Couple suggestions for sunrises you should try if you haven’t already. I never miss a sunrise! Anyway, here’s a few of my favorites. Sunrise at Pretty Place Chapel. Top of Sasafras. Top of Mt Mitchell. From a boat or kayak on Lake Russell.
