Is a FG the difference for some of yall

To have believed we would be way better?
Genuinely curious on if we had made the FG to win yesterday, are the same concerns still there and that our season is done for? That we’d have 4-6 losses?
Is a FG really the thing that dismantles all of the improvements from yesterday?

Difference. We should have rammed that TD down their throats instead of trying to kill clock for 5 minutes only to put it on the back of a kicker that wasn’t even on the team this time last week. We had all the momentum and instinct should have kicked in for Dabo.

i do agree that the three plays before the FG killed the momentum. However, I don’t hate the philosophy of running out as much time as possible.

Yes, make the FG, win the game. Then the entire season is reset with Clemson being back into the picture for a great post season run. The coaches and players would’ve built off of this win. Momentum is a hell of a thing. 3-1 looks a lot better than 2-2. It’s mid-September and Clemson has to dig themselves out of this hole by going up to Syracuse and playing in their dome. We now have 2 kickers with confidence issues instead of one.
You fans on here saying how Clemson “looked improved” and repeating Dabo slogans are as bad as the coots we laughed at last week for being happy they only lost to UGA by 10 points.

So you disagree that the offense has improved? Or do you not think the offense being improved has any merit?

The offense did look better, but it’s been a low bar since the Duke game. Cade looked improved, the OL was average, which seems to be about as much as we can expect, and there were flashes of good performances by the RBs and WRs. TE play is still not utilized like it should be….. so yes there are still issues with the offense.
But you win this game and it’s a momentum shift and the entire season looks different this morning. The win also instills confidence in these players, which is a big deal.
What difference does it make to lose the #### game but say, “Hey, our offense looks improved, though. Maybe we can pull off the win next week.” Sounds like Pop Warner football league coach speak.
This program is built on winning. Not losing close games but “looking improved.”
BTW it was utter coaching stupidity that lost this game.

The field goal is the difference between a win and a loss, but not the difference between issues that need to be corrected!
