We will have up to 5 and a minimum of 2 first round draft picks in 2026. 2027 will be quite impressive as well. If this new turf causes ACL tears to our premier players J.Keller will be posting daily about our lack of elite talent.
Is there anyway a new court with plastic sub flooring be installed in Littlejohn? It's only fair to make it even.

Has there been concern about this sod grass system leading to more injuries at the fields they are using it? I never have liked the system they use in Phoenix (grown outside and moved inside). Seems like players are always slipping and sliding and large chunks of it on the field after a game. My understanding is this system results in a firmer structure for the roots. I do wonder if they will have to water it like crazy if the roots grow upwards and laterally.

I’ve played on artificial turf grass with the tiny rubber pellets in it and it does not give like real grass does. I grew up playing football in SC so I always played on real grass. When I played in the Northwest, almost all the fields were the artificial grass with the rubber “dirt”. It grabs ahold of your cleats and does NOT tear. I made sure to get completely taped/spatted up around my ankles because it was so different to me and I was worried about ankle injury.
It didn’t seem to matter in the games though, and I didn’t notice any more injuries than playing on real grass.

OPs attempt at trolling is pretty lame for Tnet.

Oh my Lord. Do you really think we would put grass on the field if the company doing it did not have a track record and did not know what they are doing? Please.

I think we (myself included) may have misunderstood the part about the plastic layer under the grass.
After re-reading the article about the grass, I think it grown on plastic to make a 2" sod thickness with an interlocking root system.
The plastic layer would also make it easier to roll up in 2" thick pieces, making for a very consistent thickness which would provide a healthy and smooth layment.
I believe the grass is installed without the plastic, which would allow for drainage and further root growt to a depth of more than 2"
My major was EE, not AgSci, so I could be wrong - but I believe I may be correct..... ">

or does it turn you into a zombie for 2 or 3 hours like some of the synthetic legal weed could do? These are the things we need to know... questions that demand answers...And do the banana bois endorse this pseudo sod strain?
