To away fans is wrong. I understand it's a free market but how much more can they really be making over and already packed gameday ground. If true, I for one will take my business elsewhere when possible now. Never thought the ESSO would sell out.. Hope this rumor is just that.

I've heard this rumor as well. My gf is still at Clemson, and she said ND "reserved" the pig just to choke out Clemson fans. Sad that the pig/Esso would do that when Clemson fans will surely give them amazing business as per usual.

Think about how much money the Esso Club will make selling beer and BBQ to both sides on Gameday. I can see them setting up a little section for ND fans and I for one, would treat them well. The idea of making it THE Notre Dame fan hangout, however, is worse than ridiculous.

Esso and The Pig aren't selling out to the ND crowd. We are letting Lou Holtz lead our team down the hill - sort of a way to extend the olive branch since the last time he was in DV - but that's as far as it goes. Apparently people took that story and it's morphed into life of it's own.
