Very interesting. I’ll admit, during the season I only watch Clemson games and sometimes I’ll rarely catch highlights of other games. I could see Oregon, Washington, Texas, and Alabama in that scenario. Oregon has the offensive firepower to survive, but otherwise I think the bye week is a huge advantage due to player health.
I really worry about that with adding the 2 extra games for a bottom 8-seed trying to make it. The NFL seems to have had a lot of high-profile injuries this season. The extra wear and tear on these top athletes is kind of disappointing.
Go Tigers!

I look at your playoff as 7 of the 12 teams being from the B1G and SEC. If that was next years playoff teams sfyer the Conference realignments it is 10 of the 12 teams. How many will that be next year?
I left Oklahoma off.

Not true. Oklahoma would not be in because the highest ranked non power 5 gets in at 12.
That would be liberty this season.

That wouldn’t change he final four. FSU would beat Liberty but I was just using the top 12 in this years rankings.

Assuming no opt outs in any of these teams:
First Round: Oregon beats Mizzou Oklahoma beats FSU (BV has FSU's number...) OSU beats Penn - Franklin can't win the big games UGA beats Ole Miss
Quarterfinals: Michigan vs Oregon Alabama vs Oklahoma Washington vs Ohio State Texas vs UGA
Semifinals (Final 4): Oregon vs Alabama Washington vs Texas
Final 2: Alabama vs Washington
Winner: Washington. I'm just thinking Washington may be that team of destiny this year...

I'm not sold on Ohio State's QB and he looked

very pedestrian against decent defenses of which Washington qualifies.
Washington's QB, on the other hand, is probably one of the best in college football right now and the whole Washington team seems to always find ways to win...
Unfortunately we won't get to see this matchup this year but regardless of who would eventually win a Washington vs Ohio State game I'm sure it would be entertaining if they actually played.

Nice visual of the 12 team CFP. Very nice.

Michigan vs Alabama
Washington vs UGA
Only team that wouldn't make it, for me, is Texas into the final 4.
