to choose their own coaches. Dabo is not a coordinator and should not be hiring coaches for them. If you hold the coordinators accountable how can you do this without them getting to hire the people they work with.

So you are saying a Company should let a different person hire for your direct boss?
I was a Manager for 40 plus years and always hired my staff. No way I would Manage a Company and couldn’t hire my own people.

yes, but you know what type of people you needed for the job Dabo is not a X and O coach he does know what type of people needed on defense they are looking for and same way on offense side of ball you might need speed one time and other you need someone that can jump what I am trying to say is Dabo is like a CEO type of coach he needs very high grade coaches around him and he makes all the major calls for the team

And why do you think Dabo isn't an "x and o" coach? Please show your work.***

It is exclusively a Gamecock talking point and tells you anything you need to know about anyone repeating it. It’s also ridiculous to claim to care about football but believe a guy who know nothing about “X’s and O’s” could make 6 straight playoffs and win 2 national championship. It would mean head coaching is meaningless and the sport is just random dumb luck.

Another internet narrative drum being beat over and over and over again. That's not how this works. Not at Clemson nor anywhere else. HTH.

This is the take of someone who has absolutely no idea how coaching works. It is a retarded internet take meant to bait morons into repeating it. Congrats.

I disagree. I think the coordinator should have input but not complete autonomy when it comes to hiring and firing position coaches.

Dabo Swinney (Coaching for 32 years)
National Titles: 2
Conference Titles: 9
183 wins and 52 losses (win percentage: 78.2%)

Garrett Riley (Coaching for 14 years)
National Title: 0
Conference Titles: 2
47 wins and 15 losses (win percentage: 72.5%)

Tom Allen (Coaching for 33 years)
National Title: 0
Conference Titles: 0
33 wins and 49 losses (win percentage: 40.2%)

With their considerable experience, these coaches are far from new to the coaching space. One would assume they possess sufficient expertise to lead a major football program, where the sport should come naturally to them.

Please name the head coaches that let coordinators name the other assistants***
