I really like the results. Especially the clarification on USC (Southern California)
Results:
Creating the perfect super conference in college football involves selecting teams that bring a combination of competitive prowess, strong fan bases, and regional or historical significance. Keep in mind that realignment and conference affiliation can change, so this is a hypothetical scenario based on the landscape as of my last knowledge update in January 2022. Here's a suggested super conference:
Eastern Division:
Ohio State Michigan Penn State Notre Dame Virginia Tech North Carolina
Southern Division:
Alabama Georgia Florida Clemson Auburn Florida State
Western Division:
Oklahoma Texas USC (Southern California) Oregon LSU Texas A&M
Northern Division:
Wisconsin Nebraska Iowa Minnesota Michigan State Purdue
Central Division:
Oklahoma State Kansas State TCU (Texas Christian) Baylor Texas Tech Iowa State
Conference Structure:
Each team plays a round-robin schedule within its division, ensuring competitive matchups and traditional rivalries. The top team from each division advances to a playoff to determine the conference champion. Regular-season matchups emphasize regional and historical rivalries to enhance fan interest and tradition. Cross-divisional scheduling rotates to provide variety and maintain competitive balance. Benefits:
Strong balance of traditional football powerhouses and emerging programs. Geographical coherence to maintain regional rivalries and reduce travel strain. Maintains historic rivalries while introducing new, exciting matchups. Competitive balance with each division having a mix of powerhouse teams and rising contenders. Remember, the landscape of college football is dynamic, and realignment can change the structure of conferences. Additionally, the inclusion of Notre Dame is purely hypothetical, as they are currently an independent team.

MSU and Purdue aren't on the same level as UM and ND.

So, the Competitive Prowess is the component that left the Coots out?

Yeah, those get left out but Virginia Tech is in? I'm a proponent of AI and what it COULD do but this one isn't ready for USA Up All Night, much less Prime Time.

Texas was on there. In the western division. He stated in the post this was off of data from Jan. 2022. Washington wasn’t a contender then. They don’t have a great football history. Or a football crazy fan base. So I understand why they were left out.

That there would be any undefeated teams after the regular season!”
The smaller teams not in the leagues would go broke
