to RETURN to Prominence!!!

Yes . . . I became a spoiled Fan with Coach P at the helm consistently bringing in Top Caliber Players . . . and I don’t doubt Coach Byrd can do the same . . . heck, they may be on campus now and just aren’t playing up to their potential.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – The first full PGA TOUR University Ranking for the Class of 2024 has been released, and more than 200 eligible players will compete

If you look closely enough, you’ll see 8 of the Top 20 Ranked College Players are from the ACC . . . Non of which are from Clemson . . . and this saddens me. If you include the “soon to be” ACC Members, Cal and Sanford . . . there are 11 of the 20 from the ACC . . . One of which is the Top Rated Golfer. Our League is Strong. We are not holding up the position Coach P fought to establish.

Hopefully, the addition of Will Baker to Our Team is a step in the right direction . . . as We need to do better.

Completely agree skeet. If you go back and look at 1 year ago in Sept 23, our top ranked was 79th (Jonathan Nielsen) and then our next highest was Alberto Dominguez sp. He was 169th and didn't make the rotation our first tournament. That certainly is a tell on why we weren't competitive last year and it's doubtful this season...

CLP would consistently have the entire team inside the top 200. For whatever reason, the current recruiting cycles didn't develop ones mentioned above were transfers, I think.

Now, did the covid year hurt us as we talked last week, yes. Kian Rose was a pretty high recruit... hoping that cycles end this year.

We also, as talked about before, don't know where the current recruiting is heading. Thanks for the post. I would love to see some that are close to the program chime in with their take. Might be something we're missing.
