Hypothetical Question.

We did this several years ago on an FSU board. Got some really interesting thoughts. Figured I'd try it here.
Situation: You are a 5 star recruit. You can literally go to any university you want. You have made up your mind you are going to Clemson. But, you can take 5 official visits. Every school in the nation is offering you an official visit. So, just for fun you decide you will take those five visits. Which five schools would you choose and why?
Here are mine, in no particular order.
1. Bama. Just to see the facilities and to meet Nick Saban and his staff. No way would I want to play for that guy, but you gotta be curious about how well he runs things.
2. Oregon. Just to see the facilities.
3. Hawaii. All expense paid trip to Hawaii. Nuff said.
4. Colorado. Beautiful country. I'd try and get a day at Rocky Mountain National Park thrown in with my visit.
5. Not sure. I'm open for suggestions.

Might want to think of the visits as a revenue stream. Maybe UGA and Ole Miss?

Knoxville - MickyD's french fries and a shake.
Waco - I heard they have nice, friendly ambassadors
Louisville - For them Adidas gift swag and maybe their ambassadors too
Athens - I wants a Pontiac
Norman - to get a Barry Blaster Switzer Special ka some cocaine and guns
Finally Chapel Hill - ok, not really. It was on the list on paper but not in actuality.
Final final, random trip to Cootlumbia to give them false hope and use their facilities. That McD's trip to knoxville ain't sitting right. Not an official visit mind you...
Or does all of this disqualify me from Clemson...
just throwing shade.

Great question. He's a great coach for sure. It's more just a preference of personality.
Coaches I would not want to play for: Barry Switzer, Jimmy Johnson, Jimbo Fisher (even when he was at FSU I said if I had a son, he wouldn't go to FSU), Urban Meyer.
Coaches I would love to play for: Bobby Bowden, Dabo Swinney, Mark Richt, (Great coaches who know how to win and know how to motivate and discipline players without belittling them and personally attacking them).

Saban may not be the most personable guy in front of cameras but I don't recall seeing or reading of him mistreating players. Maybe you have some specific examples. The guy wins titles and puts players in the pros. His players seem to get along fine with him.
Can't argue about your list of coaches you'd want to play for.

Texas A M-just so I could spend some time in Austin
Tennessee- I need some extra cash to go to Austin
Georgia-I need some extra cash to go to Austin
Coastal Carolina- to spend all my extra cash left over from Austin trip

How far is College Station from Austin? Why not just go to Texas if you wanted to spend time in Austin?

1. UGA. Athens...UGA (the mascot)...the red and black...the "G"... the list goes on and on.
2. Notre Dame. Because it's Notre Dame.
3. Alabama. Saban will go down at the greatest college coach of all time. Would be great to be recruited by and meet him.
4. UCLA. Southern California
5. Don't have a 5th. Guess I'd go with Miami...visit south Florida

I'll give you Athens, great college town when its not a home game. Mascot, though, which one, the slobbering 4 legged lump of blubber that's scared of a cow or the cartoon character. And as for the G, what up G? I'd rank that logo way behind bama's A or the paw or Greenbay.
