Man, so hard to pay the price anymore! I love me some wings, especially slow smoked, but paying $12 for 8 sections not whole wongs or $15 for 12 is just crazy. How are wings $3.79/lb at Walmart vs whole chicken at $1.74/lb. Yet the economy is great, Bidenomics! Wasnt that long ago you could find 25-30cent wing night at local bar. Now it's a deal on dollar wing night. Just like tacos used to be 75cent taco night and now $2 taco night.

So bad!!! I smoked and grilled 4 whole beer butt chicken for Coot game and that was cheaper even with wasted beer, than 2 packs of wings and I would have needed 3packs.
Funny sidenote: my chickens love to peck clean the finished carcass of beer butt chickens. Is that just rude to feed them their long lost cousins?

I got a buddy owns a store in Lawndale NC, about 45 minutes above Gaffney, I got a 40# box of wings separated and no tips for $60. I’ll freeze a dozen and pull them out when I want them

Ever made a grilled pumento cheese sammich? Pretty dang good. The jalapeño Palmetto Cheese spread is great and better on griiled sandwich.

Palmetto (pimento) Cheese spread is from a local SC woman. Supposedly it's an old black lady's recipe or at least thats the story. They make regular and jalapeño and both are fantastic but I like the little kick in the jalapeño recipe. I made grilled cheese sandwiches one day on a whim and I couldn't stop eating them, well until I ran out of bread. But that with a cold sliced tomato on the side is a sporty lunch.

I’m on vacation in Costa Rica, the town I’m in , the boats come in around mid day and you can buy the fish straight off the boat. We just chopped it up and made poke bowls, and they were unbelievably good.

Pacific side, a small fishing town called Pavones, away from all the crazy party people, it’s just mostly fisherman, surfers, and people like me just wanting a quiet vacation with the fam. Costa Rica is not for everyone, but if you were an outdoorsman and love, fishing, swimming, surfing, hiking, etc. it’s a great place to go.

La Fortuna is really pretty and you’re going to love it! We only spent two days in La Fortuna and didn’t get to do much because it was pouring down rain, but we did manage to do the hanging bridges. Which I would really recommend if you’re aren’t afraid of heights.

Definitely outdoorsman,, not sure about fishing tho??? Not sure what my Sock means but people think I fish, haha! I will research Pavones for my list. I was in Brazil few yrs ago and linked up with interior guide to fish headwaters of Amazon. Going later in '24. I have 2 great translators that worked for me in Sao Paulo that hooked me up. I can slightly get by with spanish but not Portuguese. How in the language barrier there?

Where I am in the South knowing Spanish really helps. I know enough to buy things and get around town. Many people here only speak Spanish. I’m Northern Costa Rica, most locals speak some English.

Never made quiche until I got chickens a yr ago and had to use eggs. Man I love a good quiche with bacon, spinach, onion, tomatoes and pastry crust vs pie crust. And its good cold or even warmed from frozen. Count me as a fan!

We had some martinis during the game, but have switched to wine now. Tigers played tough but couldn’t pull it out in the end.

After posting on thread, I guess I better fess up. I fried homemade cut fries and sliced a pork tenderloin into nuggets and fried in fish batter. I don't ever fry stuff but I was lazy tonight and wanted to eat some grease after loss! Dipped the poek in Hawaiian Teriyaki sauce.

Grilled inch and a half Ribeye, a 12oz filet - cooked rare (on the medium side), baked potato, grilled zucchini, and carrots, cuban bread and home made chocolate chip ice cream.
First time with the carrots- olive earl, salt, ######, rosemary - turned out really good. Definitely in the rotation.
2021 - Argentenian Malbec
Pretty dang good meal.
#### = p e c ker - being silly, it is pepper.
