Having faith that we can pull off a win next Saturday...

but our fear is that Auburn can beat us without any kind of flash. Our fear is that they will block us, and tackle us, and just control the trenches. We've got all the skill position players any team would dream for.. but this wreaks of the opening of the '08 season. At least, Auburn is NOT Bama.
What are your guys' thoughts right now going into this game?

It all comes down to how good of a job Venables has done in his short tenure here. They are going to run, a lot. And when they look like they are passing, their QB will run.
I'm certain we are capable of putting up a lot more points than they are. I just hope they don't dominate the clock like GT did to us last year.

With openers you never know. We often look really ragged in openers regardless of caliber of opponent

under the big lights in the Georgia Dome... where we SUCK. Just don't know if our guys can handle it. Hope they do, though.. it would be a huge momentum to come out with a win like that.

Malzahn's 2nd Year

Auburn Won the National Title.
This is Morris' 2nd year with the same offense.
Only thing that worries me is that Chizik 'The True Imposter' ran this offense for several years so he may have some insight into stopping it and I'm sure he can get input from Malzahn if he needs to on how to stop Morris' smash mouth spread.
Hopefully Morris is a good enough play caller that it won't matter.

Team. That is the operative word. How well this team works

together to get a win is an unknown factor. That and faith. Faith in your teammate and faith in your ability at your position is part of the equation.
I might feel bad about seperate parts like fingers on a hand but I feel good about the team when it comes together like a fist.
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a lot of people are under estimating the difference in our current coaching staff compared to that in 2005-2008. Yes, Caldwell was here last year, but I remember reading something Dalton said about the difficulty of switching the blocking schemes last year with such a veteran line and all the older guys.
Maybe I'm drinking the kool-aid, but I expect both lines to be better than many expect. I think having these younger players that have only been coached by our current coaches is going to pay big dividends.
I also think the current staff expects more from the players and are not patting them on the back for being good. They take the approach that you can always be better, and therefore are not showering praises upon the players.
I expect to see a toughness and physicalness in this team that we have all longed for for years. ESPN talking heads would call it "an SEC style", but I prefer to think of it as "Real Clemson Football", ya know, like from the 80's.

we just need to show up and play Clemson's ballgame.
If we show up with heart, determination, and a workman's attitude this game could get ugly in our favor very quickly!

The "willing and able" will be up to the players.
