DavidHood®, I was excited to hear CM was back in the valley. Some others, not so much. I can see both sides. What do you think the fans and staff should be excited about for with his return and or what are your thoughts on the positive impact he potentially makes?

Happy to have him back. Hoping he works well with Garrett Riley and they help this offense blossom into the best version of Tiger football.
I also think this helps potentially land his son as another good QB in the room when numbers seem to be low for our liking. Not sure about the Chicken and the Egg as far as Chandler Morris transferring to TCU before or after Riley got there but if he wanted to play for him, I am sure we could find a spot for him. Seems to me like it would be an ideal situation for Chandler who grew up watching Tiger games. Dabo has shown that he is open to taking mature and well-grounded upperclass QB's out of the portal.

He turned this program around with Swinney from 2011 to 2014. Period. Offense was a hot mess going back to the early 90s and he totally revamped it, not a tweak not an update not an adjustment, a total overhaul.

Chad Morris was hired for his gimmick offense.

He failed to grow as DCs learned to dead with his smoke and mirrors. Same with Gus Malzon. Both are stuck in history incapable of change.

He’s just an Analyst. He’s not taking over the offense. Chill.***

I remember the 2013 coot game when Roderick McDowell averaged 8 YPC. We limited RM to only 14 carries and abandoned the run in the 2nd half.
CM was to analytical for my liking. Sure we put up huge numbers but his mathematical beliefs were a handicap in games that needed that human intuition.

It is a fact that he was part of the reason we became a better team. I am not sold that he will be of help now, but what do I know? I know that very few fans were happy when he left, but a lot of coot were.

Adding Chad to a team that already has Garrett Riley as its coordinator means everyone can be sure that the last couple of years' offense is truly dead and gone.

Why would fans be excited about the hiring of an analyst given the job description? What did you notice about Ted Roof’s time at Clemson?

It's a wait-and-see situation. Hopefully, he works well with Coach Riley. I was hoping Jeff would return since he's such a great recruiter.

Come back as an analyst - get some exposure again. Then head back out after a.few years for another OC position or lower level HC.
Or Chad is just here to chill

Second guessing Dabo isn’t a wise thing to do … imo!

I've always looked at these 'analyst' positions as favors for friends. Look at how many head coaches got fired from one school only to be hired at another school as an 'analyst' where their old buddy just happens to be head coach. Not saying his time here will be a bad thing (we probably won't even notice it) or a good thing. It's just the way the world works. Not a big deal, just a favor for a friend.
