Get A Grip!

A little adversity shows your true character. I’m glad we weren’t counting on some of you to storm the beaches at Normandy. You should be embarrassed and ashamed.
We got smoked. Get over it. Better we got exposed now than get destroyed in the CFP. We still have lots to play for. Some of us remember the Tommy West days. We are a solid team and have a program admired by most. We will win out and most importantly, we aren’t the chickens. Take a moment and smell the roses. Life is good.

Some of us remember red Parker. But it was still disappointing because we wait all year for a game like this. However, I can think of a win at the end of the season that will make it all better. Go tigers!

As fans, we are allowed to criticize. For me, it's with the coaches. Especially with this game. They had two weeks to prepare for Notre Dame, and it didn't look like they spent more than 2 days.
The offense was predictable, and the play calling was horrible. ND knew we would be scared to throw downfield, even on third and long.
I take exception to those that want to criticize the players. They're not professionals, and very few will ever be professionals. They're also very young men, still learning life. The effort was there, but some of the execution was lacking.
The success of the last 10 years has skewed our expectations. We should expect to challenge for the ACC title, and we have this year. We should hope for a chance to compete for the playoffs, and national titles, but how often?
Deep down, we all love our Tigers, no matter what.
Go Tigers!

I have a grip, but I also like to vent, and and I love to play Devil's advocate, and if I had been at Normandy I would probably be dead or two senile right now to be worried about getting our @$$'s whipped by Notre Dame. But the idea is to make the playoff's. Best case scenario is you finish with a # 4 ranking. As to whether or not we win out will depend on which offensive team shows up next week. If you were at Normandy ,would you rather go ashore with DJ, Cade ,or perhaps Tom Hanks! Like I said I love playing Devil's advocate.

After last night, forget the playoffs, not happening this year. Make plans for the Orange Bowl against either a team from the SEC, B1G or unlikely a rematch with ND. Don’t believe that will happen as the Orange Bowl wouldn’t want that.

No SEC team is coming to the Orange Bowl IMO. The SEC is tied to the Sugar Bowl in the same way the ACC is to the Orange when they aren't hosting playoff games. The Cotton likes to take a SEC non playoff team too usually from the SEC West. The Orange will probably get the highest rated Group of 5 school that get's a NY6 bid. Probably Tulane at this point.

to football during the West days that we do now. I don't think brining those years up is always relevant.

There is literally zero relevance. Its a ridiculous argument.

We had a stretch a long time ago where we sucked, so we cant get upset for underachieving now! Huh? Thats like saying man that model T was a piece of ####, so I cant get upset when my brand new Bronco has a catastrophic engine failure!

I mostly agree with you, but the thing that stings the most about this loss was the lack of fire in our players and coaches. Also, it’s been like that for almost 2 full seasons now. Shipley has some fire in him, but I can’t think of one other player on the team that gives relentless effort. I don’t know why that is, but I hate seeing it.
