to accomplish what Chad Morris wanted at Clemson..... a smash-mouth spread offense. That's also what I want to see.
We have the makings of that vision if coaching and player effort at WR improves. I think with the QB we have in Klubnik (plus incoming Vizzina), that important piece to initiate play fast and inspire other players is in good shape. Now, the other pieces have to be coached to the system, get themselves into the proper physical condition to once more run HUNH and then execute at a high level. If we can do that, we've got a winning combination.

I agree. There wasn’t much chemistry when DJ was throwing. Receivers will vastly improve with the new system and Cade throwing to them. If Beau Collins stays healthy and Randall and Antonio Williams, we are in good shape. Stelato could be an X factor too. Riley’s running plan will allow receivers to get open or create mismatches. I think this year is going to be fun to watch.

... depends primarily on the OL being able to run the offense. A good OL will make the offense scary good.
I'll be looking forward to hearing reports about the OL during Spring practice.

That's true, but you don't need the huge road graders, but more athletic guys. Of course, road graders that can move will not be turned away!

1. Protect the QB
2. Open up holes when there are only 5 in the box.
And,
3. You need quality depth so that when the 2s are on the field there is minimal dropoff.

The holes are already there with the line splits that Riley's offense uses. What's important is for the Ol to be able to hold 1-on-1 blocks and slightly move their guy.

The one thing we've been missing the last 3 years is the ability to platoon OL guys so we could run more tempo... Or at least rotate in without a big drop off.
As his brother, Lincoln said, we weren't that far off. Yeah, spring is going to be fun.

We cannot proclaim Riley as a savior until we see what he has to work with with the freshmen.
