transcribed. Man he talks fast, brings the energy, and obviously enjoys coaching defense, and working with players.

This is from the first video at 10:19-11:57. Coach Allan talking about: recruiting and development, utilizing talent, and putting guys in the league.

Obviously, there is a long history here (Clemson) of having great defensive lineman. And to me that’s the key, in order to stop the run, you’ve got to have great defensive lineman, and have tremendously disciplined linebacker play, and tremendously disciplined run fits- which we take a lot of pride in, and we will continue to do that here.

To me it’s about going out and recruiting guys that have those physical qualities you’re looking for, and then developing them. It’s also about having a system that allows for the skills to be magnified. A guy like Abdul Carter (Penn St. – projected first round top pick) that played linebacker the year before, came to me, and really wanted to move, and had seen what Micah Parson’s had did at that spot…it obviously proved to be a great move for him, and he’s going to be rewarded for that real shortly.

Bottom line is, everybody’s system has different ways of utilizing those guys. So, when you have 4 down structure, it allows that to be magnified, you can do a lot of things with that individual. Based on their skill set, we’re going to be able to take advantage of that. It’s about recruiting and development.

I love being part of a program that values that component of it. Being able to take young men out of school, develop them, and allow them to maximize everything that they can give. That’s our responsibility as coaches, is the developmental part, and also allow to them to be put in position- per the scheme, to make those plays. It keeps the offense off balance, it’s very attacking and aggressive, but also being able to move and drop at times.

I think Those guys, they love that, they also see, this is going to allow me to showcase my skillset, and help increase my value as a player, to show that I can play in multiple systems in the NFL, and that to me is helpful in both recruiting and help motivate your guys to be their best.

He isn't talking about going to the class rooms and taking the players out of school for the practice field, he is saying recruiting from high schools, I believe.

Perhaps DavidHood® can mention that quote to Tom and see if my understanding is correct.

Not to Tom if you're reading, Sir.

My grandmother told me 'them yankees will come down here and make themselves believe that if you talk slow it's because you think slow. Let 'em be, that puts you one step ahead of 'em.
