Commish: ACC will meet to alter hoops narrative
After the ACC got just five bids to the men's tournament, commissioner Jim Phillips said he will met with his league's coaches and ADs to be more "proactive" about changing the narrative of the conference.

more competitive play. The ACC wasn't very good this year from top to bottom. With the exception of Duke (barely) and Miami, we didn't give the committee much to think about. Ball has changed a lot with the portal especially and NIL. The ACC is now trying to play catch-up. We should have been in front of it.

A whole interview and nothing said.

Something about the schedule? I get it that when your team changes year-after-year there is a period of “getting used to each other”. But it sounds like he’s saying they shouldn’t be playing those games OOC. Maybe if they only play ACC games they can use SEC logic. Every team home-and-away and fill the rest with Quad 4 matchups.

Big talk from this dude but I’m not seeing the vision to make things better for the membership.
