Expecting a last second foul call only works for Duke or UNC

UNC got the foul call on the short shot with under ten seconds to play and it wasn't nearly as obvious as our attempt with Louisville. That worked in Duke's favor after the free throw miss and lane violation.

And if you remember last year in Durham, Clemson had a one point lead with under ten seconds to go and their player drove the lane and leaned in and got the foul call with our defender only having his hands up in the air. They made the two free throws and won.

So, in the ACC, only Duke and UNC can expect to get last second fould calls. We should have taken our chances with a short jumper for the tie or even a three for the win. Louisville wasn't going to let Chase make a layup on that drive, foul or no foul.
