No video games back when I was a boy, us kid were extremely "outdoor" active. -- Most kids now are kinda fat, most kids then were kinda thin.
Meals were different then as all were home made as there was no McDonalds. -- Most kids now are kinda fat, most kids then were kinda thin
The deal now is "kinda" fat is seen as "normal". The deal is folks of all ages (me included) have adjusted to the "kinda fat" deal.

You nailed me. I am one of those, except I don't complain - to each his own.

I agree
Halftime of whatever sport we were playing was when the mom got home from the grocery store and we stopped playing to help get the groceries in

I had a personal trainer but I called her Mom. She had my daily workout itinerary memorized. It was called “go outside and play”. My specialized equipment included a hoola hoop and a bicycle. I’m still kinda on the skinny side but at almost 74 my old joints don’t allow for much physical activity. A hoola hoop would probably kill me.

them going to the neighborhood pool, they are all in a golf cart....I was at the track at lunchtime today and maybe the 7th or 8th graders came to the track for P.E. There was one kid that ran around the track at what I would think was about a 7 minute mile pace....

Our outdoor exercise was doing chores around the house and small farm. In the summer we spent lots of time tending to the garden which was probably .75 - 1 acre. Feeding the cows and mowing grass and pastures, gathering eggs, killing and cleaning rabbits and picking vegetables for dinner. All great stuff most kids today would have no idea how to do.
