Enjoying the Daisy Jones show, but ran out of episodes…

so decided to try a different music show, George and Tammy on Showtime. As a fan of music and a musician my whole life, friends, I’m well aware of Possum and his drankin’. I get it. But I sweater got they shoulda just called that show Drunk@zz Rednecks in Pillbilly Hayell. Between that and old geezer Possum humpin’ on the skinny girl playing Tammy, it ain’t too appealing a show. And their daughter, Georgette, wrote the book it’s based on. Oh well, I ain’t gotta watch the rest of it.

I'm a big George Jones fan (even though he is a bit before my time), and I like the actor that is playing (can't remember his name), but he seems all wrong for George Jones.

about the show is whoever they used for Possums singing voice ( I’m pretty sure it’s not the guy playing him). He’s obviously got that unique tone to his voice, but it’s easy to mimic because it’s so over the top. They could’ve gotten somebody who could at least look a little bit like him, too.
I bet that was a funny as hell casting call, tho

I know you're a musician but not sure if you're into Jazz. If so, have you seen the Ken Burns Jazz series? Love just about everything Ken Burns has ever done, but this was probably my favorite. Maybe a tie between that and his WW2 doc.
