End of Notre Dame vs Stanford is insane!

Last 15 seconds of match:
o Stanford up 2-1
o with 12 seconds left the ref called a yellow card time wasting on Stanford goalie and gave ND a free kick from inside the box
o ND player blasted a shot through Stanford wall and it glanced off Stanford player and into the net, so 2-2 game
o with 7 seconds left Stanford player blasts basically a kickoff towards ND goal
o ND goalie seems to think it is going over the goal and doesn't touch it and it goes over his hands and under crossbar and into net with 1 second left

Bottom line is: stupid, stupid play by ND goalie and Stanford has to now come to Clemson Sunday for a rematch.

That was the most unbelievable ending to a soccer game I've ever seen. Still can't believe it. Well, we wanted the rematch with Stanford; somehow some way, we got it.

and played until I graduated from Clemson in 1985. During that ten-year period, I only saw that happen one other time, and that was during mop-up time in a meaningless scrimmage. In that case, the player didn't even mean to do it, He was simply clearing the ball from around mid field into the offensive third. It was just a happy accident.
