Dr Amen the Brain imaging pioneer would stop these sports

immediately, IMHO, like: Football, Soccer & Boxing.

Why? His brain imaging techniques show the brain at 4 angles which can detail size, shape, smoothness, ridges, indentions, etc…

as well as how its firing properly or not in each region by the color its emitting.

For instance, He can detect slow or fast frontal lobe activity by colors seen which can manifest issues like ADHD, etc.

Of course head traumas or old brain injuries can be detected by scaring or bumps..as well as toxins build-up, injuries, disease and high stress (cortisol build-up).

Yep, in the future there may not be football, soccer or fighting as we know it today Unless better protective head gear is invented, approved and sanctioned.

Plus, the public, health and governmental agencies may be the ultimate deciders.

We the Sports Fan (and participants) are seeing that the head injuries are getting out of hand and life-threatening!

15 yard penalties, leaving the game at the time of the violent hit and not playing the next game for the 1st half does not help a brain injured. That’s s joke and insane!

Heck, the dissection of the brains of many scores of former NFL players has shown that they had unknowingly sustained brain damage due to earlier head blows years..and the sad fact is most didn’t correlate hits taken with their physical & mental issues after retirement.

Many lived fairly long lives (55-75) but too many its learned now didn’t have all their mental faculties and succumbed to dementia, Alzheimers, Parkinson’s.

Check out Dr Amen’s and his many years of brain studies & imaging.

Maybe we should stop playing sports altogether?

I mean why risk injury of any sort? People should seriously lock themselves in padded rooms to stay safe. It's definitely less risky.

I remember a Dr. who recently who dictated we all lock ourselves in our houses for our own safety. What a genius.

Remember when Len Bias died playing basketball?

Better yet, let's ban all sports.

Shhhh.... I'm trying to spin the narrative that competitive sports are dangerous and we'd all be better off sitting at home sucking our 👍 thumbs, or playing women's field hockey.

Does Dr Amen have the final say ?

Nov 27-29, I worked with a woman that is married to a retired NFL lineman. He won a Super Bowl. Played for Hall of Fame Coaches, played with Hall of Fame Players. He’s slightly older than me and he is horribly crippled, both physically and mentally. The NFL accepts no responsibility for that. She had some jaw dropping stories about what NFL teams did in the 80’s.
