Was this really the worst thing that JohnFBell® has had to say in the past 13 years of your stalking endeavor?
Seems a little bit trivial in the grand scheme of things, considering such dedication to remaining anonymous all these years. I didn't join the Lounge until about a week ago. Yet in my welcome aboard thread I was introduced to the Lounge legend of the 'Lacey'
Just a little bit curious what might be going on in your life to cause you to lash out and ruin your anonymity. Are you okay? I'm sure we could find some resources for you to get the help you need.
At the very least, we can help you come up with a new Scok to squat on.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Some things you may not know about the Jounge.

Initially, there was only one board, but the political posts in the mange caused crumpbmeist to invent the jounge for politically and other non-Clemson discussion around 2000 I'd guess.
About 10 years ago, Politics and Religion split off from the Jounge leaving it as it now sits in present day America.

There's a strong history contingent in the Lunge. Posts are always well received. Got any special historical interests?

Good stuff. I think you'll find a receptive audience in the lounge for any and all of that.

of people working in southern cotton mills. Some great and sad stories, but very interesting to hear (since I do audiobooks.)

There was a nice exhibit on Mill Towns at the State Museum I think, years ago. So many of them in the South. I grew up in one. Had their own baseball teams, sometimes even postal codes I think. Incredibly sad stories, true.
My grandparents used to tell me how they lived by Mill whistles. A whistle to wake up, a whistle at the start of the shift, a lunch whistle, etc., etc. And of course, this, child labor:

Life in these mill towns was like a different culture and class for sure.
I worked as a teen in a mill, gets you realizing real quick you want an education.
But real down to earth people and I learned a lot from them.
Along with some southern terms I really never heard again.

Doing my time in the mills like "hey baby, how about doffing them drawers? And, "lint heads", I can so relate. My first full time job before going to Clemson was in a cotton mill in the creel room. Thank Jeebus delivered me! Good life lessons though.
