Looking at Wake’s D… it’s built to keep pressure on the offense and less on the talent of the defense. Not necessary for super gifted players- but we are just not there.

he worked with the team all offseason and watched tape of last year.
He should have
a) known our limitations and
b) schemed to limit them as much as possible (which may be what he's doing)

But if this DID take him by surprise it really shouldn't have.

It doesn't matter. It's Allen's job to scheme based on the talent we ACTUALLY have, not what he thought we had

In my opinion he should've already been fired

Question: So the answer to fixing an offense or defense is to fire a coach after 7 games. That will really sent OCs and DCs knocking at our door to come to Clemson!

Wes Goodwin's scheme didn't work any better. Sounds like it's less the scheme and more the players.

Also, Wake's base defense is a 4-3. We use 2 lb's and one of them can't tackle well.
