Congrats To Coach Tony Elliott & UVA

Congrats on your 1st win as a HC coach Elliott. Richmond has had a reputation as a giant killer; so glad the Cavaliers handled business.
Napier won! Venables won!
Still working on Coach Scott; but I think he will get there if USF give him enough time!
Go Tigers!

Be great for the DAbo coaching tree if Coach Elliott was able to dominate the Commonwealth Cup! The way VT looked; I can see it happening. The state of Virginia has some talent. If he can keep some of it there in Charlottesville; it would go a long way in helping them be consistently good.

Elliott has a long row to hoe in VA

The fans are uninterested. His roster lacks depth and talent. Their facilities are third rate.
I browsed some of the UVA sites this morning and the general take away from the fans that were interested enough to comment was "I was hoping we'd be much improved from last year." And I'm thinking, why did you think that? Their roster is worse this year than last year due to graduations, transfer portal and coaching transition. It'll be 2+ years before Elliott can get productive recruits that'll contribute.
They also complained about risking their "best player" on "risky" QB runs (even though he tore off a 60+ yard TD). That was a real head scratcher. Elliott is going to ride his fastest horse to win, even at the risk of that horse getting injured. He needs more than 1 option. Their starting RB played well, but he's a walk-on, which speaks to the depth of that RB room.
I can admire Elliott for taking up a challenge at UVA, but he has a massive uphill battle to turn that program into a winner. They have excellent wine and cheese win or lose though.

Exactly! I hadn't seen your response! And, they must not have responded.
Coach Elliott had his haters as OC. So, maybe that's the reason for the Tdwn. But, that still doesn't explain it, because if you didn't like Coach Elliott and he's no longer a Clemson Tigers OC, why should you still be hating?
Crazy really when you think about it.

Dabo’s coaching tree? Didn’t he leave as Dabo got the head coaching gig?

No, he was with Dabo for a year as offensive coordinator, but Dabo let him go.

Coach Napier is much more likely to invoke the name of Saban instead of Swinney when he talks about his coaching journey. Nobody likes being fired, regardless of circumstances.

The people defending him are starting to sound like the Brownell truthers. He’s had enough time to get his players and recruits in there and is not improving. I’m rooting for him big time and thought it was a good fit for him, but it’s looking more like a Scott Frost hire than one that will work out.

Happy for him. He has a tough job ahead of him. It's a 4 year project in my opinion.

Amazing that I got downvotes and at 90% for posting congratulations for a Clemson Coach! Not just a Clemson coach, but also a Clemson Alumni.
Not sure what that is about! Same with Coach Scott.
Weird! Must be some Shamecocks on here trying to hate( I hope anyway because a Clemson fan downvoting a post congratulating a Clemson man would be unkemp).
Go Tigers!
SMH at you hater! And laughing at you as well!

Can't say for sure but could be accidental. TU and TD are close together which is more problematic on a mobile phone. Would not be hard to press TD by mistake.
