Years ago I recall some speculation of Clemson going to SEC.
This year many thought we were heading to the Big 12.

During that time was there any legit discussion among the powers that be about bolting for the SEC?

Wonder if there are current meetings going on especially if Florida State or Va Tech jump ship?

I'll guarantee you that EVERY conference school is having these discussions and trying to come up with some kind of plan for if and when the ship hits the iceberg. The real question is 'where could we realistically go'? The SEC doesn't need Clemson, and the Big 12 seems to be very cautious and watching to see what unfolds from the sidelines. I think they want to see what affect expanding this far east has by experimenting with WVU and aren't in a big hurry to go on a land-grab. The best scenario for Clemson would be for the ACC leadership to step up and reward football greatness and push the conference members into following the money by fielding nationally competitive teams. Whether that happens remains to be seen, and I know that most of us aren't confident that it will.
