Re: Clowney frustrated 'Put me somewhere else'

All summer long I have heard about Clowney this and Clowney that. Will he play, will he sit out. I predicted that as soon as they face some adversity, everyone would start to turn on each other (see coaches and now Clowney "blaming" coaches). Remember this summer the D-line coach called out Clowney. He was "injured" during camp and instead played a video game in the locker room. The Chicken curse is real.

The NFL coaches will put you wherever you want! They will cuddle you and just keep telling you how good you are! In fact I think some of the opposing NFL teams might even leave you unblocked a few times so you can be your same awesome self!

Huh. I've honestly never seen a defensive player think that

they alone should be the focus of a defense. How can he not realize that if an offense runs away from him for an entire game, he is having a massive impact on the game? How can he not realize that an offense running only to one side gives his coordinator a massive advantage in setting up the defense?

Wearing Vic Beasley underoos

They kept playing him there because they hoped he could maybe make an impact like Vic Beasley. ![;)](/forums/images/emoticons/wink.gif)
Fact is that Clowney is a strong football player. It's juvenile for people to say he's not. But, I think his ego makes him somewhat uncoachable and drops his ability to be a leader. Questioning your coaches play calls in front of the media is just classless. But when you have a player with an ego like Clowney, coached by an ego like Spurrier in the midst of infighting asst coaches, what can you expect?

team members, including Clowney, before they lose overall control. You can not tolerate dissension within the ranks, which always rears its ugly head when players start griping and complaining.
