I heard some people have been getting emails from CCIT that they will be taking away g.clemson.edu emails from graduates. Can anyone confirm this?

Never mind. This is different than what you’re asking.

at least they are ending the @alumni.clemson.edu “lifetime” forwarding service. ————————————- Good afternoon, You are receiving this email because you are a current user of the Clemson alumni email forwarding service (@alumni.clemson.edu). When you originally signed up for this service, the Clemson alumni email forwarding service was intended to be used for a lifetime. Over time, however, email providers have taken security measures that now limit emails from being delivered through forwarding email services, like our Clemson email forwarding service. This has caused issues for those who rely on the forwarding address to deliver important information via email to their preferred inbox. Since we can no longer ensure that your email is being delivered to you, we will be discontinuing this service on Saturday, July 1, 2023. This step was originally planned for 2019, which was communicated to users at the time; however, various circumstances delayed our timeline until now. Please make sure you have updated your contacts with a different, non-Clemson email address (Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) prior to July 1, 2023. Thank you for showing your Clemson pride by using this service over the years. Please be sure to let the Clemson Alumni Association know your preferred email address before July 1, 2023, so you can stay connected to all things Clemson. https://iamatiger.clemson.edu/contact-update
If you have any questions, please contact the CCIT Support Center at ithelp@clemson.edu or (864) 656-3494. Please do not reply to this email; this is an automated, unmonitored account used for sending announcements.

It’s like the link says, Google email has a lot of security problems. Government and corporate entities have been switching to MS like clemson is doing.

It’s true. I got an email saying I will no longer have access to my Clemson.alumni.edu account starting in July. It was supposed to have happened a while back but it got pushed out. I’m going to miss that on my resume.
