Clemson is up to No. 29 overall in the RPI rankings after going 2-3 last week, according to D1Baseball.
Warren Nolan's predicted RPI team sheet has the Tigers finishing the regular season 36-20 and 12-17 in conference action, at No. 29 in RPI as well. That kind of finish would finish just ahead of its projections for UNC (12-18 ACC) and Duke (11-19) to clinch a spot in the ACC Baseball Championship.
The Tigers return to action at home this weekend with Georgia Tech (27-18; No. 17 RPI), then play Charleston (29-14; No. 71 RPI), go to Virginia for a weekend series (33-12; No. 20 RPI), go to Coastal Carolina (25-15-1; No. 55 RPI) and finish with a weekend series with Boston College at home (17-28; No. 102).
Looks like Georgia had the best RPI to get left out of the NCAA Tournament field last year, at No. 44, after going 13-17 in conference play and winning one SEC Tournament game.
