Changes needed by IPTAY regarding Playoff tickets

Don't let IPTAY members sell their tickets to the opposition. IPTAY members should support Clemson. If you aren't going to the game, either don't order playoff tickets, or let them order them for the opposing teams fans. It was miserable to sit in front of 2 very obnoxious LSU fans in the supposed Clemson section. These two were so bad, the other LSU fans apologized for their behavior as well as shouted down their own fans. Ushers and law enforcement did nothing when requested.
How does the Superdome run out of hot dogs 10 min before kickoff?
Those were the only 2 negative issues (other than the outcome of the game) that we had all weekend. NOLA was a great location. Food, hotels, location, proximity to everything in walking distance made this one of the best bowl experiences (again, except the outcome).

Believe the amount of opposing fans in a dedicated Clemson section.

I would also like to see some priority for the final given to people who travelled to the semi. Also some priority for former players. I sat in the top row of the upper deck with a former player...I hated seeing that.

Most "former players" get zero exceptions. I know. I am one who never has. Granted, I wasn't a star, but I was there 4 years, and I have had 3 knee surgeries and a replacement as a result of my very wonderful experience, but I get no special attention, nor do I ask for any. I would imagine that I'm not in a minority there. Players just practice, play (or not), and move on. We learn a lot about life, teamwork, accomplishing goals and being good citizens, but for most of us "others" there is no "cherry on top of the ice cream". We do have great memories, and they are very special, and we love Clemson - all of it.

I for one think you should get some priority. Maybe an easy way to help former players get better seats would be if IPTAY would set you up with a couple hundred free priority points...

Great idea! Mine now suck, and I'm a Jervey donor. Mine ate upper deck, and I think near the top row in a corner of the visitors side. Never sat in them. I have good seats from another source. Shame, really, but we do what we must do. Though I was far from a good player, I learned a lot from my experience. I just hate we had to suffer through the Hootie Ingram days. What a terrible time to be a Tiger, really. Even the starters I know and am friends with still talk of him as the worst. They, and I, are correct.

well who's tickets do you want to take away? Anyone in IPTAY pays for the right to get tix, if they sell them they sell them. They are entitled to do that, wish they would not but that's their choice.
As to the former players, do you know how many former players there are? The school only gets so many tix...

The problem is the folks getting lots of tickets are big donors. Do you want to tick them off?

The problem is you could sell a $450 ticket for $1000.
There is no way to police this unless...
Unless.. unless.. iptay only gives you your ticket at the game and you have to show your iptay card.
That ain't going to happen

They can deduct the number of tickets someone sells on the marketplace (which shares data on the seats posted) and then deduct that number from the number they qualify for next time.

Another easy change: don’t let people request more playoff tickets than they have season tickets.

With today’s technology, there has to be a pretty easy way to make the tickets “ final sale” or have a waiting list for fans who last minute want to give up their ticket bc they cannot go. The problem is the school only cares about selling all the tickets as fast as possible to make as much money as possible. They should care more about packing as much orange into the stadium as possible.

So we live on the west coast. We requested four for our family of four and we got two. Given ticket prices it was cheaper to sell (which i did to a Clemson alum) vs. tickets/fight/car/hotel. There is alot that goes into a decision. WE did travel to the Fiesta and (GOD willing) we will for the Rose next year. Circumstances dictate life.

I sat next to a couple LSU fans in the Clemson /IPTAY section (for the record aside from a misguided allegiance they were great). They told me they paid $1300 ea for the tickets - meaning the person who sold them probably cleared about $1200. Given the price of going to the playoff games (and I’ve gone to all of them) I can certainly understand why someone would choose to try and offset some of those expenses. I have always thought that season tickets, ACCCG, and bowl/semi ticket purchase should be factored into the distribution formula for the CFP NC but they don’t care what I think.

Guys, THis is America. I buy my tickets, I can do whatever I choose with them. I have relatives and close friends from other schools. My choice if I choose to give/sell them to someone else to enjoy the game. Get treatment for the butt hurt.

Out of everything IPTAY needs to change - worrying about

what IPTAY members do with their tickets after purchase doesn't even make the bottom of the list. I'd much rather IPTAY spent their time and energy looking into the parking situation, stadium facilities, and providing the rank and file membership with more value for their contribution (i.e. include tiger seatbacks with season ticket purchase).
