Change in FB recruiting approach?

4

Jun 3, 2023, 11:26 AM

I’m sure everyone has noticed the large number of recent offers that have gone out to 2025 prospects, especially with respect to OL and DL.

Notice the difference in Clemson’s recruiting philosophy (not that there’s anything wrong with this)?

Instead of the limited number of schools offers, as per the ‘highly selective, small overall’ numbers from previous recruiting cycles, we appear to have gone the route of most other schools.

Lots of offers. Really, a bunch of them have bee made to 2025 lineman prospects.

Again, not arguing or complaining … just an observation.

Maybe they just increased the size of the pool a little but still not close to what other teams offer.

To respond to you (and the others, based on your / others’ input), I stand corrected.

Thanks for the additional data and perspectives.

Dabo is a smart one. And Garrett Riley may have some input. Go Tigers!

To offers. You may not have noticed before but the staff always hands out most of its offers during Dabo's football camp. They have a policy that they don't offer a player unless they've evaluated them in person; the camps are the best opportunity to do that. We've offered 26 players so far in 2025 for reference we've offered 58 for '24 and had 104 in '23.

Good teams year after year focus on both their lines FIRST! We have come to uderstand that!

Talking about Olines, can you imagine the damage we could

have done win-wise by having really stout & skilled Olinemen from side-to-side!

Saying...we didn't do too bad with a ton of wins.

I noticed that too. Whatever works.
In Dabo I trust.
