Throw a couple sliding barn doors in there, and you're done.

look. All stainless steel walls, graded concrete floor with a drain in the middle.
It will make cleaning VERY easy.

Anyone with kids and pets would buy those up. Fill it with plastic outdoor furniture and have a high-pressure spigot inside so you can hose the place down once a week and LIFE IS GRAND.

indoor dogs again. We'll live in a metal building with a concrete floor, strategically placed drains, and pontoon boat furniture. No rugs to trash, no hardwoods to scratch, no molding to get muddy. Only then could I not hate having dogs inside.

you have to remodel it to whatever else is "the style". And after that it will have to be remodeled again. Depending on your age, you basically have 3 remodels at least over a lifetime marriage and house. Might just be cheaper with rates these days to move every 15 years or so as opposed to remodeling constantly.
Alternative is to find the unicorn wife who likes traditional stuff that doesn't go out of style and who only makes minor modifications and projects to upgrade, etc.

This is the first home we've built and I'm scared. Have to set a hard budget cap and be the debbie downer on doing too much that may be out of date when it comes time to sell.
It's hard to convince wimmens that what you're building likely isn't the "forever home" though.
