In a rivalry game, snapping a 7 loss streak and their rival's 40 game home winning streak. And that was after defeating the #5 team a week prior. I'll give credit where credit is due and let them be excited.

Make no mistake about it, that was a big W for Beamer. Stomping UT at home was big but this W on the road was huge for him. He has done a lot of "firsts" down there. Strangely, it reminds me of how Dabo got things started. He has them believing in the us versus the world mentality and he has created a family-oriented program. Sounds a bit familiar if you rewind to 2009.

Y’all are crazy for downplaying this, this is exactly how we got started. Only difference is they are in a better conference with deeper pockets. DJ most likely is back next year so who’s on the better path right now?? If Dabo makes changes of course we are right back in the mix but at this point who knows what’s going to happen. All we can do is show support and hope for the best at this point. But I’m not discounting them at all, that would be a dumb move.
